Forrest Chase
Overview
The redevelopment of the existing Padbury Walk, Boans (Myer) building, City Central and Murray Street pedestrian overpass in Forrest Chase was a successful undertaking which revitalised Forrest Chase. The project contained a complex collection of façade types spread over several main elevations of the building with works occurring in multiple stages. These included the main glazed Padbury Walk façade and balustrade, glazed and clad Murray Street Overpass and North and South façade screening and curtain wall. The result is a lighter more connected Forrest Chase and greater appeal to the building and retail tenancies within.
The works included the replacement of the dark and heavy 1980’s concrete and fibreglass Padbury Walk structure with a more open and brighter stainless steel and glass façade and the inclusion of more spaces to connect with and experience Forrest Chase than previously available.
